An AI logo maker or a free logo maker can give you a logo in minutes for little or no money, and for testing an idea or a short-lived page that is usually fine. But the result may not be unique, may come only as a small picture file, often gets Bangla text wrong, and can leave it unclear who owns it. For a signboard, packaging or a brand you plan to grow, a human designer is the safer choice.
AI logo makers and free logo makers: how they work
- Free logo makers (template tools): you pick an icon from a library, type your name, and choose a font and colours. Every user of the tool can pick the same icons and layouts.
- AI logo generators: you describe what you want, such as "a green leaf and a teacup for a tea stall", and the AI makes images from patterns learned from huge numbers of existing images.
Both are genuinely useful for speed, low cost and quick ideas about colours and styles.
A designer starts from your business instead: your name, customers, competitors and every place the logo will be used. It takes longer and costs more, but the logo is made for you alone. In a logo contest, many designers can work on one brief, so you compare ideas and pick one. See the logo design price page for the current packages.
Originality, look-alikes and who owns the logo
- Template risk. Any other business can pick the same icon. Picture a gadget page in Mirpur and a mobile shop in Chattogram with the same phone icon: customers mix them up, and neither truly owns the mark. Template licences often give no exclusive rights, so read the terms before you print.
- AI look-alikes. An AI tool can produce something very close to an existing logo without warning you. So many people type similar requests ("leaf + coffee cup", "crown + letter K") that similar results are common.
- Copyright. Rules about AI-made images differ by country and are still changing. In some countries, an image made entirely by AI, without enough human creative input, may not be protected by copyright, which can make it hard to stop others using it. Each tool's terms also differ on what you may do with the result.
- Trademark. If you later register your logo as a trademark, a template icon or a look-alike can lead to objections or disputes.
This is general information, not legal advice. Before you register a trademark, or if you are unsure about a logo you already use, ask a lawyer or trademark agent.
Files, Bangla text and changes
The files you get
A logo must work as a tiny Facebook profile picture and on a wide signboard, so you need vector files (AI, EPS, SVG and PDF), which stay sharp at any size. Many AI generators, and some free logo makers, give only a pixel image (PNG or JPG) that blurs when a print shop enlarges it; getting a clean vector usually means redrawing the logo.
The winner of a logo contest on logocontest.bd hands over six files: AI, EPS, SVG, PDF, transparent PNG and JPG, plus the names of the fonts used.
Bangla text
Many brands here want a Bangla name, or both Bangla and English. AI image tools often struggle with Bangla script: conjuncts break, vowel signs land in the wrong place, and some "letters" only look like Bangla. A Bangladeshi designer can draw lettering that reads correctly and sits well beside the English name.
Changes
An AI tool gives endless new tries, but a small, exact change ("make the leaf bigger, keep everything else") is hard, because each try changes other things too. A designer can make the exact change you ask for. On logocontest.bd you can ask the winner for changes before you approve the final files, with no fixed number of rounds (just reply each time within the days the rules allow).
Logo maker vs designer: when each one makes sense
A quick tool is usually fine when:
- You are testing an idea, such as a home-made pitha page in winter or achar orders before Eid, and don't know yet if it will last.
- You need something short-term, like a stall at a Pohela Boishakh fair.
- You want to explore styles and colours before writing a brief.
Get a designer when:
- The logo will go on a signboard, packaging, shopping bags, T-shirts or delivery boxes.
- Your name is in Bangla, or in Bangla and English.
- You are putting real money into stock, a shop or ads.
- You may register a trademark or open more branches later.
- You want to stand apart from competitors: in a logocontest.bd brief you can add their names or links, so designers make sure your logo looks different.
A sensible path for many F-commerce sellers: use a simple temporary logo while you test, and once orders and bKash payments come in steadily, get a proper logo before you print signboards and packaging.
How to check a logo for look-alikes before you print
Check any logo before you pay for printing. The AI logo checker on logocontest.bd:
- 1Searches the web by image for similar logos.
- 2Compares it with logos sent to contests on logocontest.bd.
- 3Compares the shape of each look-alike with yours.
- 4Looks at the font and says which font the letters look like (it may not always name it).
You get one of three answers: nothing very close, some similar logos worth a side-by-side look, or a very close match to avoid. Clients run checks inside their own logo contests, on the designs sent or on an uploaded image, so a logo from a quick tool can be checked too (each upload uses one of the contest's checks). How many checks you get depends on your plan and the site's settings. For the best result, check the logo alone on a plain background, not on a mockup.
It is a research report made on the date shown, not a legal guarantee. It cannot see logos that are not online, and it does not replace a trademark search.
Why logocontest.bd does not allow AI-generated logos
Every logo contest on logocontest.bd requires 100% original, human-made work, and AI-generated logos are not allowed. Both rules are always on in the brief, because:
- You need to own it. When you approve the final files, the full copyright moves from the designer to you. That promise rests on work a person actually created.
- Less look-alike risk. A designer drawing for your brief is far less likely to give you a mark that anyone typing a similar request could also get.
- Real files. Designers build the logo as vector shapes, so the files are truly editable.
Before sending a design, every designer confirms that no part of the logo was generated by AI (AI is allowed only for mockup backgrounds). Designs can be reported as AI-made or copied, admins check every report, and a copied or AI-generated logo can mean removal and a permanent ban. Your payment is held until you approve the final files. See how it works for every step.
FAQ
Is a free logo maker good enough for a small business?
For testing an idea or a temporary page, often yes. For a signboard, packaging or a growing brand it is risky: template icons are shared, and you may not get print-ready vector files.
Can I trademark a logo made with an AI logo maker?
It depends on the country, the tool's terms and how much a person created, and the rules are changing. Ask a lawyer or trademark agent before you file.
Can AI write my business name in Bangla correctly?
Often not: conjuncts and vowel signs frequently come out broken. Have someone who reads Bangla check it, or ask a designer to draw the lettering.
I already made a logo with AI. Can a designer improve it?
Not by copying it. You can upload it in your brief as your current logo, for reference only, and designers send new, original ideas. Say what you like about it, such as the colours.
Want a logo that is truly yours? Start a logo contest and designers across Bangladesh can send you their ideas.
